Remind me again?

I know I have spoken about this at great lengths but here is a reminder.

Emotional abuse refers to a pattern of behavior aimed at controlling, manipulating, or demeaning another person's emotions and self-worth. It can involve various tactics such as verbal insults, constant criticism, humiliation, gaslighting, isolating the person from friends and family, and undermining their confidence and sense of identity.

What I may not have mentioned is how abuse can stem from childhood. You may recognise some of these traits in a parent (s) or sibling(s). Before you know it you are groomed to think this is normal.

The good news is when you recognise this you can do something about it. You don't have to fight this alone. Emotional abuse can have significant long-term effects on a person's mental and emotional well-being. It is important to recognize and address emotional abuse in relationships to promote a healthy and safe environment. Please speak to someone you can trust as well as professional services such as a councillor or GP.

You don't have to fight this alone. You can win this fight and be free.
