It was a Miracle!
As promised from my last post, I wanted to share my story of encountering a miracle.
Back in 2007, I had just come back from travelling and I started to feel unwell. I had flu like symptoms and the paracetamol I took was not breaking the fever. I began to feel increasingly unwell. I informed my housemate to ring an ambulance. At first, they were not convinced that I was as unwell as I had said. However, having shown them my lupus medication they said that they will take me to A&E and run further tests. I was waiting in a hospital bed in A&E and that was the last thing I can remember.
I woke up two weeks later in intensive care thinking it was the next day. I was really confused I couldn't move my legs and I could barely speak. I couldn't understand what had happened. It genuinely felt I had just woken up from a long sleep.
My family began to fill me in that I almost died and to preserve my life they had to put me in an induced coma. My whole body started to shut down and the doctors couldn't figure out why. Eventually they settled on a lupus attack which had affected my brain and lungs.
Prior to me waking up in intensive care I had a number of prayer warriors praying for me. They decerned that a close relative had cursed me. As soon as that curse was broken, I immediately started to respond to medication, and I woke up the next day.
Thank God for prayer. As my family began to fill me in with more details, I was told that the night the prayer warriors broke the curse was the same night the doctors had told my family to say their goodbyes as I was not going to make it. The doctors can't explain how I suddenly responded to medication and how I woke up the very next day after being so poorly.
I believe it was a miracle. There's no other explanation for it. It took a while for me to recover and sometimes I do suffer from lupus attacks. But all I know is that I am here today because of answered prayer. Which is a Miracle!
More from me soon.
