What’s wrong?
I thought it best to continue on from my last post. Ever feel you are moving forward but you know something is not quite right. In truth perhaps you wonder if you will ever feel normal? Maybe the point of the process of recovery is realising that you won’t be the same again but that does not necessarily have to be a bad thing. Without the trauma of my past there would be no single Beautiful Show, no blog posts, and some other stuff I’m working on. So going back to my original question what’s wrong?
I think it’s a great question to ask yourself as you rebuild your life. Inspired by the book of Nehemiah in the Bible I begin to pick up some helpful points. One of which I’ll share with you now. So the story goes that the city of Jerusalem lies in ruins, the city wall is broken down and its gates destroyed by fire. Before rebuilding the wall with a team Nehemiah inspects the damage himself. This point really helped me. To know how to heal I need to know what needs healing and where. It seems obvious but clearly, I still need soul healing in deeper measures.
So with that in mind, I am reading another book:
Did I Miss The Signs?: A Humble Guide To A Better Understanding Of Emotional Abuse
ISBN-13: 979-8669390105
I want to better understand what areas are damaged so that I can provide the proper attention and care it deserves. I will write another blog later about my findings and how it has helped me to move forward in a greater capacity.
If any of this resonates with you may be a step back? Maybe what's required is to ask yourself the question what’s wrong. You are worth the time and the effort. There will never be another you in history ever again. This makes you extremely valuable! Don’t let comparison seduce you to think less of yourself. It’s your journey to take it can not be compared to any other journey. Your thought processes and needs may be completely different, the purpose of these blogs is to offer another way of looking at the issues in ordered to benefit you. Whatever your course of action be kind and take care of yourself.
These blog entries are inspired by my single Beautiful Show. If you have not heard the song yet you can hear it here:
